Metris Model FI40L Food Inspector is a professional grade high accuracy FOOD SAFETY Infrared Thermometer for surface temperature measurements. The FI40L is the word when accuracy in critical control temperature points is demanded. Model FI40L meets and exceeds the accuracy requirements required by the FDA Food Code 1999 Annex 4 Section 8. Temperature measurement range of -40 to 536°F (-40 to 280°C). DUAL-TWIN red dot lasers help to outline the precise target area being tested. Auto-off, low battery icon, includes 9V battery, carry case, instructions.

• Safely measure from a minimum distance of 16 inches accurate surface temperatures of food and equipment to 0.87-inch diameter when dots meet. 

• Model FI40L offers a distance ratio to target = 16 to 1 helps reduce errors from cross-contamination, and condensation on the lens from mist, steam, or fog.

• Measure surface temperatures from -40 F to 536°F  (-40 to 280°C)

• Meets FDA's HACCP accuracy requirements for infrared of only ± 1.8 degrees F (1°C) within danger zones of 40 to 140F.
